Michele Brunelli

Professor Michele Brunelli is a Senior Adviser of the Monitoring Jihadism Project – MjP, Lecturer in Conflict Management and Democratisation Processes and in History and Institutions of Afro-Asian Countries and Director of the Master’s Degree Course in Preventing and Combating Radicalisation, Terrorism and for International Integration and Security Policies (MaRTe) at the University of Bergamo. He also teaches History of civilisations and political cultures at the University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Brescia.

In the past Michele was a Researcher of the Study Group on Weapons and Disarmament (GSAD) and collaborator of the Joint Research Centre on Transnational Crime
(TRANSCRIME) of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. In 2016 he was responsible for the training and teaching course on the phenomena of Islamic terrorism and the processes of radicalisation for the Carabinieri Provincial Commands of Bergamo and Brescia. He is the Research Manager of several European projects, declined
under the TEMPUS and Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP), and today he manages international projects in Azerbaijan, Algeria, Burkina Faso and Niger.
